Dr. Omar Aasar, DDS
Dr. Omar Aasar earned his dental degree from the prestigious Creighton University, where he gained extensive hands-on training through numerous extramural rotations in public health clinics. This experience allowed him to work with diverse patient populations and sharpen his skills in providing compassionate, efficient care. Outside the office, Dr. Aasar is a proud father to a beautiful 5-month-old girl — you might even catch a glimpse of her in our office photos!

What counts as a dental emergency?
A dental emergency is any situation that involves sudden pain, trauma, infection, or damage to your teeth or gums. Common examples include severe toothaches, chipped or broken teeth, knocked-out teeth, swelling or abscesses, and bleeding that won’t stop. If you’re unsure, it’s always better to call — we’ll let you know if you need immediate care.
How quickly can I be seen?
At Aasar Weekend Dentistry, we reserve time specifically for emergencies. In most cases, you can be seen the same day — often within a few hours of your call. We’re open Friday through Sunday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with Thursday appointments available by request.
Can you save a broken or knocked-out tooth?
Yes — but time matters. A broken tooth can often be repaired with bonding, a crown, or another treatment to restore strength and appearance. A knocked-out tooth has the best chance of being saved if you get to us within 30–60 minutes. Place the tooth back in its socket if possible, or keep it in a container of milk, and call us right away.
Should I go to the ER or an emergency dentist?
Most dental emergencies are best treated by an emergency dentist, since hospitals usually don’t have dental specialists on staff. However, if you are experiencing life-threatening symptoms such as difficulty breathing, uncontrolled bleeding, or trauma involving your jaw or face, call 911 or go to the ER first. For everything else — severe pain, infection, broken or chipped teeth — call us and we’ll get you treated right away.
